I have a 2000 GTP,and i am wondering if anyone has ever tried putting an exhaust cut-out on one,and if it sounds alright? I am thinking of getting one but i want to make sure it wont sound like crap first,any replies would be GREATLY appreciated,you can email me with any replies at [email protected] Thank You!

I doubt a racing exhaust cut-out would do you any good, and your car would sound like CRAP. Fuel injected vehicles need a certain amount of back pressure, so I believe it would hurt performance, not improve it.

i agree with rich- as always- cutouts are mostly used off- road. there are several out there that are made for the grand prix's, but even a lot of dragsters wont use them because, as rich said, in certain situations you need back pressure for performance. if you are looking for better sound/ performance, there are a host of other mufflers and high flow cat's and downpipes available.

Thank you guy's for telling me it would sound like crap...What would you guy's suggest using? I want it louder,and i def.wouldnt mind some more performance also.
