With the three liter, torque isn't even a factory option in the Ranger. The bane of the Ford light trucks is that for the longest time, they were just underpowered. The four liter fixed some of the problems when they started running it in the Rangers. As far as the three liters, though you're going to have to turn to the aftermarket. Have you considered a programmer or chip? Playing with timing and fuel trims can do a lot to perk up even the deadest dog.

i know all that. it has a gibson exhaust, jet chip, but when i added the intake it seemed to loose all low RPM power? maybe gonna put on stock intake to see if it gets better????

Is the intake tubing bigger? If so, this would mean that the engine is getting a lesser volume of air at lower RPMs, but getting less restrictive at the higher RPMs. Kind of like a straw. The volume of air is a very important factor, this is why super chargers work so well.. They deliver a high volume of air to the engine, at all relevant RPM ranges. If there is some way to get the air colder, this would probably help cure the problem because the air molecules get closer as the air gets cooler.

Re: 2000 3.0l no tourque?

thats what i was thinking. the larger intake tube acts like a tunnel ram. more top end power. i need to find a happy medium. i love the high end power but i want some of my off the line power back!!!
