Code P0719 - What gives?

Hey guys I'm getting this code on my 03 Sierra that I just bought.

P0719 Brake Switch Circuit Low Input

Cruise control does not work, and I can put it into gear without pushing the brake. Brake lights work fine.

I plugged a brand new GM switch in today, and I could still just drop it into gear. What else could it be?

Thanks

Re: Code P0719 - What gives?

Who knows! I stopped trying to troubleshoot these VCM's as soon as I found out the engines no longer have distributors.Could be anything, probally something that has nothing to do with the brakes, brake switch or it's input.

Check all fuses real close . TCC circuit or fused. Should have power all time with key on.
The TCC switch /part of the brake light switch but seperate switching.
Is a normal closed with power to pcm with brake pedel released.
If all fuses is good post back for more help.
