Local Street Races!

Awww man I just home from one of my most fun races ever this month, and after 2 weeks of looking for a race as well. LOL man i'm so happy this was one hell of a andrenaline rush. For those Houston ppl that know their way around, I was cruisin' the beltway around telephone rd looking to raise hell like i always do, when I spot this 02 civic looking lovely, rear light covers, manual, 5-speed no doubt, I couldn't hear what he had over my music, this guy was bullshiting with a mustang gt so i thought i join in the fun. We all jump on the toll-way freeway and take the i-45 north branch off, the mustang took the i-45 south exit, I follow the civic, cuz i expected to have a better chance of winning

. Well, right when we are about to start racing, a cop pops up to ruin the fun, we both said fuck that and were gonna take the almeda-genoa exit, but the cop takes it too. We were like 'to hell with this' and quickly get back on the freeway. We waited for the cop to pass up the edgebrook entrance, cuz there was no way we're getting caught for some simple lil' ole fun, you know? I know that cop saw us, but we both light up our engines and totally fucking get this shit started. We were both going 90 blowing through traffic, but few minutes after i guess he screwballed a shift cuz i was like 15 cars ahead of him, oh glory halleluah, dodge takes one for the team lolol

. got a race you want everyone to know about? post it man, we all want to know. definitely has to be recent, you know? Also, houston neon racers and drifters, you want to organize a cruise or bullshit in a big parking lot? post date and time, cuz i defintely want to get in this, cuz we all know dodge neons just want to have fun

I don't condone street racing at all, so forgive me if I don't give you props. Especially since you are racing right by where I live, the Almeda area. On another note, do you ever go to Baytown or Houston Motorsports Park?

Never had the money to go, although I do plan on going sometime in the future. Also, wasn't really asking for props at all dude, can't really race in heavy traffic. Would you like to meet Friday for a lil cruise in the freeways? Promise i won't try to run ya, it's more fun with a crew of neons taking over the freeway, how about it? Know some ppl that want to cruise, i say call them up and organize it up.

There used to be a Houston Club called at neonsofhouston.com, but I don't know what happened to them. I wanna say they meet somewhere off Westheimer though. If I find out more info, I will post back.

I'm actually busy the next two weekends, but we can meet soon. I haven't found any more info on the club, but I remember they used to meet on Wednesdays at Taco Cabana on Westheimer, IIRC. They are mostly 2nd gens and SRT's with a couple of 1st gens in there.

well that's cool. you don't think you may a time they may meet? i've been to westheimer quite a few times, and with all the cool cars i've seen, i haven't really seen a car club meet. I catch a couple of the Endless truck crew meets, but i hate hydraulics.

I'm part of the racing scene in portland, Or and rarely will you find a good racing spot in a post. I know Portland police use racing and car sites as a way to track down and bust racers-so be careful what you read. Your best bet is word of mouth at the last race or local racer hangouts.
