Re: Port tuning

depends on your listening tastes, what subs you have, etc.

what kind of music do you listen to, are you more concerned with sound quality or loudness? do you need those deep shaking lows or not?

Re: Port tuning

I listen to a mixture of pretty much everything but conuntry. I would like to have a good ratio of loudness to quality but leaning more on loudness. My subs aren't at all great or probably even good. Right now I have 1 Dub200 but I am want to change that and get 2 12's. my box is massive...it's 34x34x20 in. Right now using bassbox pro it is tuned about 30 or so hz. But I want to know what would be best. Also if I was to sell that Dub sub would I be better to pawn it or ebay it?

Re: Port tuning

are you saying that right now its in a box thats tuned to 30hz? or the box for 2 12s will be 30 hz?

that sub would prolly do alright with a tuning in the low 30s.. like 32-35.. problem is they really dont have shit for low end. not to mention they sound horrible.. so even a good box wont really help them too much.. if you want music to sound good then get new subs and ask us before you do.

pawn shops suck for money, sell it on ebay.. or plug it into a wall socket, watch it smoke, and then have yourself a nifty paperweight..

start a new thread asking abotu what subs to get, we'll tell you, then itll be easy to give you a good tuning freq... but odds are itll end up in the 27-35hz range. depends on how much low end vs spl you want.
