SOHC-DOHC more info...
wow i guesse i should have put more info huh? My car is a 2001 sc1 3dr coupe(or would that be a 2 dr?, oh well lol) I am not sure what i really want to do mod wise, but at this point i really just want to boost the hp, cant stand it, soooooo slow! I am thinkig just getting an intake of some sort, headers if possible, then the exhaust. When i do get the $$ to get those things would it efect my gas mileage?

Re: SOHC-DOHC more info...
it might increase a little, but wont do crap performance wise. saturns come out pretty well set from factory, so bolt ons dont do much like it would on hondas (yet still be slow
). your best bet is a dohc swap with the trans. they dont make headers for the sohc.the sohc doesnt put out much, and modded still doesnt do much. there have been guys who boosted the sohc and made like 130whp, not impressive considering i made 116whp on bolt ons with a slipping clutch on my dohc. dohc boast like a 30hp increase (at most) doing the swap. now a boosted dohc at same psi as the sohc ran, could make 200-220whp. if you would like to know more on what to do and find lists on compatibility, then check out www.turbosaturns.net or www.plastikracing.net, there is a wealth of knowledge on the forums to help out and tech articles. this will save me from writing.
