2001 slow start sometimes/cranks too much

I had fuel replaced under warranty at the dealer..,,
new fuel filter installed,,
#207 relay installed,,,
fuel pressure guage connected to fuel rail NOTED;
Sometimes with the key on just to bring dash accessories
light on the the guage dont move untill I turn off then on again!
the 2nd time the guage shoots up to 35lbs ,, engine start fine,,
runs at 33lbs,,, max out at 40lbs @2000 rpm
If I jump in and start cold it cranks like 12-15 revs
If I start cold ,BUT turn key on/off/on /off ,then it
starts fine,,, sounds like another relay sticking ?

Just a thought- have you tried swapping the battery for a known good one? I have seen batteries that show good voltage but fail under a load. I don't always hear the fuel pump prime on my '01 Windstar when I turn the key on also, same with my '99 Taurus

You might try the PCM power realay. It takes both relays, (Fuel pump and PCM power) to energize the pump.

You might want to see where powere is and where it isn't when you have your key on and do not see gauage movement or fuel psi. Take a test light or mulit meter and probe around.
