More on Revell plastic

I just got Revell AG's 1995 Impreza rally kit, and I noticed that the plastic is very rigid and seems a little brittle. It's mostly the flashing on the blue plastic, and I notice it's the same on their Escort rally car which is the same color, and I think also the Mercedes G-Wagon. The gray plastic seems a little better, but the parts are mostly thicker so maybe that has something to do with it.

Is this related at all to the problems people have been having with the regular Revell-Monogram kits lately?

I already broke one of the B-pillars, but because of the design of the glass, I think it will be OK.

Most likely no since it's an older release and a Revell AG kit. RAG isn't always the same as RM. The 2 Ferrari 612 kits I have, one RAG 1 RM look to have a different plastic formula.
The hase release of this I have has the same kind of blue plastic?(maybe? this is the 1 impreza I only have the one brand of)

Good luck with these if you choose to build them. PS..get a better livery for them

Re: More on Revell plastic

Actually, I have an excuse right now: Eye problems mean I'm wearing glasses, and I can't see nearly as well as I can with contacts. Next week I will have a new prescription and will be able to really build (Able to, not will).

Yes, this car will be a privateer effort, I'll use the McDonald's decals from the NASCAR kit that is donating it's guts to a baja truck.
