1994 PASC 60,000 miles
I just bought a 1994 Buick PASC and was wondering what things to look for as far as issues you have had. I have an issue with the pass side windows not going down. Also it came without key fobs. Does anyone know where I could get two of these? The radio is a am/fm/casette. If I install an aftermarket radio can I still use the controlls on the stearing wheel? If not will a factory am/fm/cd radio work? And where could I get one of these?
What kind of gas mileage are you getting on the hwy and in town? Does K&N make a filter for this vehicle? Is it hard to change the supercharger oil and does anyone run a synthetic oil in theirs? Car and supercharger. Another, does anyone know of a rear deck spoiler made for this car? I know this is a lot of questions but your answers will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Re: 1994 PASC 60,000 miles
You should be able to find just about anything you want on eBay including the SC oil. I would stick with the GM SC oil! You will need two bottles. Just remove the plug on the top of the snout and suck out the old, then fill up to top of fill hole with the new oil.

Re: 1994 PASC 60,000 miles
1-(Window problem) Are all of the switches not working for your window to go down? Check to make sure your window lock switch isn't on, this has happened to me a few times. If that's not the case, post back
2-(Key fobs) Are you sure the vehicle was equipped with keyless entry? If you know it was, then the dealership is probably the only route to take. 3-(radio question) Your steering wheel controls will work with an aftermarket stereo ONLY if you install a special kit that connects the switches on your wheel to the aftermarket radio circuitry...these are new to me, I've only seen them online a couple times. Also, if you want to keep the factory look with another factory radio, get one at a boneyard, the dealership price for one is way more $$$ than they're worth (plus you could get a more powerful aftermarket for a lot cheaper) Just make sure it's out of a 94'-96' just in case those steering wheel control inputs are not on earlier models that didn't have the steering wheel controls. 4- K&N does make a filter for your car! Check it out at Auto Zone's site, it's part # is 33-2086, runs for about 74 bucks plus tax 5- I've never seen a spoiler for a Park Avenue (any input here, guys?) Of course I'm sure someone out there has taken one off another car and modified it to fit..

If the trunk is the same as a 95 Olds I have a spoiler w/ built in stop light.

Re: 1994 PASC 60,000 miles
Hey Chad!
Not sure if you still hang around this forum but I have a '94 Ultra with 71,000 miles and can tell you a little bit of info i've had with this car. <Passenger Window Sticking> - I have this happen frequently but it only happens on hot days where the window won't go down at all when i first get into the car. I have to open the door then slam it shut again and it goes down fine using the button. I'd imagine it has something to do with the hot air expanding/pressure inside the cabin...kind of funny since it only happens when it's hot out. <Radio/Temperature Controls> - I have an aftermarket CD player and can say that the controls don't work at all. I've seen aftermarket wiring kits for $60 online that will connect them together, but to pay that much and do all that hassle and wiring just so i don't have to reach over another half a foot to adjust the volume and temperature is kind of a waste if you ask me. <Special Air Filters> - K&N does make a filter (as explained in the above posts) as does FRAM. I personally bought the AIR HOG filter from FRAM (for about $50) and have noticed no increase in horsepower or better fuel economy. I just like the fact that it's reusable and that i only need to clean it once a year. <Fuel economy> - I'm getting about 17mpg on the street and about 21mpg on the highway. I bought the car (with 57,000 miles on it) from an old man about two years ago and he had kept it in mint condition (engine and all) as well as i have since then, so this car rides like brand new. I'd imagine anyone who has gotten better fuel economy with this same year car has either tweaked it somehow or is full of beans. This car is definitely a gas guzzler and the fact that it takes premium fuel doesn't help either. <Supercharger Oil> - Kind of a pain in the butt. Putting new oil in is easy...sucking old oil out is not. I couldn't find a small enough turkey baster (as recommend here in other posts) anywhere in my city so i got some little item that looks like a baster instead which seemed to take forever sucking out the old oil. I'm not even sure if i got most of it out really. Hard to tell. All i know is that it took about a bottle and a half to refill (at $7 a piece from the dealership) and most GM mechanics that i've talked to tell me that's the right amount it takes to top off the resevoir. The only thing you have to worry about is getting dirt and crap in the drain hole on the supercharger. Keep that area clean cause if something happens to fall in there and contaminate the oil and moving parts down in there, then there will be dire consequences....muahahahahahahah. Actually the guy at the dealership who sold me the oil told me to keep the area around the drain bolt clean and free from debre, which makes good sense so i did and haven't had any problems since. I read in the manual that the supercharger oil level should be checked every 30,000 miles. <Rear Spoiler> - I've seen one so far on a '94 and it was an aftermarket with a rear light built into it. Looked pretty bad and out of place to me. If i were to put anything on the back of my Park Avenue it would have to be a nice shiny chrome luggage rack to keep that "old school" 80's/early 90's look happenin'....lol. Here's an informative site i found that tells more about the gas mileage and all the goodies in the older Park Avenues. http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/u...wall?print=yes - Enjoy!
