Re: 1978 civic

what sort of things do u want to do?

http://www.1stgencivic.com/ is a good site. civic1200.com has crashed and i do not believe there is any intention to get it up and running again but most of the guys have made the switch over.

Re: 1978 civic

I only picked up the car a couple days ago,(it was three hours each way) on that note it towed quite nicley behind my caravan. It has virtualy no rust and only 120,000 km. we took out the seats and the carpets already to see if the extra seats from my 300xz parts car would fit. if I take off the 300 seat tracks the use the honda seat tracks it will work! first mod done.
anyways the little 1200 that couldn't didn't and is siezed SOLID, sooo....
I got a line on a junk yard full of mid 80's hondas and I'm thinking.... 85 accord auto(cause the civic is two speeed hondamatic) make custom mounts, axels, do the harness etc. should be fun!!!

Re: 1978 civic

for all that work and expence i would go sohc vtec or even a d16a1. mid 80's accord motors aren't much to write home about and you can probably get a d16 for the same price.
