fuel pump problem ?

i checked the fuel p. pres. was 45 then dropped to41 in cold and wet weather if i didn t turn key on and let pump pres up and i had 1 chance too catch engine too fire if not then acted like no spark but i could crank and give gas and get going smelled like i flooded it But now its warm out and when the engine was warmed up starts great and runs greart the cp gives me no codes and i chaged the rear end and couldn t find the pinion with the abs gear so i have no abs so my light is always on so my obc never gives any codes ? 1994 caprice with lt1 oh ya latetly when i turn on the key i hear the fuel pump and seems too never turn off i will check the psi soon startys ant runs good now as long as the weather stays warm and dry and has 3 years old plugs and wires and the dreaded sealed capbehind the water pump seems dry i sealed with wire drier
