Header and Exhaust

Hey, i have a 00 Prelude SH, and i wanna do a full exhaust, header all the way back. What will give me the most power for the money? i was looking at a skunk 2 catback, and greddy catbacks, but i dont want my car to sounds real ricy, the quiter the better. however, whatever is going to give me the performance im looking for is what ill get. I have no idea what to do for a header, or if there is a combo of header and catback that work well together or what. Any comments or answers to this would be great. Also, what is a good short throw shifter? Thanks

Re: Header and Exhaust

RMF header, or any other custom header, and whatever catback you choose.

Re: Header and Exhaust

Once again, RMF is the shit for a header, and for exhaust well chances are you'd think the N1 is annoying, so i'd try either the skunk 2, which will be loud as well, or a greddy evo 2.

Re: Header and Exhaust

yeah, rmf is the BEST. a custom header will give you so many more ponies than any other mass produced header. as for the catback...rsr exmag...good gains and a not-so-ricey sound...

Re: Header and Exhaust

What does the greddy evo 2 cat back sound like? I've been thinking about getting that exhaust for my lude, but I don't want to sound like a ricer.

Re: Header and Exhaust

Search for clips, personally, I like the sound of it. If you find some really good clips post em up. I'm too lazy to look for you.

wouldnt say its the BEST....smsp, hytech, dtr all make great headers and are all pretty equal when it comes to making power.

Re: Header and Exhaust

is money an issue? well..RMF header is good stuff and if something cheaper then DC421 but you wont net much gains at all. ApexI world sport is probably the tone you are looking for. The N1 is very loud and so is the skunk2. greddy evo and thermal R&D are also nice pieces with a more conservative tone. I'm running an apexI 3" turbo muffler along with my full custom madrel bent 3'' catback system and gutted cat. sounds pretty quiet until my turbo spools up that is =P

Re: Header and Exhaust

might as well get a megan header if your gonna get a DC. Cheaper, same design, very good customer service.
