we have had our uplander in the shop over 20 times for various problems. the molding has been replaced inside and out. a new starter (which needs to be replaced again), a new altenator, a new radio, a new motor on the automatic door. we are now having problems with the starter, a clicking in the front. a terrible airdraft whine on windy days, the transmission seems to be slipping, the brakes continually squeak. my husbad says we have a five o'clock friday vehicle. it is very frustrating.

Re: 2005 uplader multiple problems
We were in the process of buying a new Uplander LT, and drove it off the lot before the financing was completed(Holiday week-end).
We had the Van for a week, and while we had it, the following happened; The Brakes starting squealing(Badly) took the wheels and tires off and cleaned with brake cleaner.(squealing did not go away). The Overhead DVD player became extrordinarily noisy. (ever bought a cheap dvd from WalMart? I compare it to that) The electric door on the passenger side stopped working. The Weather Seals on the side doors started peeling off. Started idling rough. ***All this in a 5 day period !*** Needless to say, we returned the Van. I loved it, great Van, but the poor quality was just too much. |
