why our car spun bearing so easy?

every time i check the 3si, i see someone just spun some bearings.now i am worry about my car.

Generally because of running rich or not changing the oil. Fun stuff like that.

i thought runing lean is bad not rich.i am runing rich now

Running lean causes knock, and breaks/shatters shit.

Running rich cause gas in your oil. Gas in your oil reduces its ablility to lubricate and will cause spun bearings and excessive wear on everything.

That is definitely one cause, but also another cause is the fact that a lot of people don't change out their oil pumps, and when it starts to weaken, the oil pressure will drop, which also causes a lack of lubrication. I already had a friend of mine not listen to me and he learned the hardway.

Anyways, try not to run rich, keep up with the maintenance on the car, and try to run like 15W-50 oil in your car, and you should be fine.

My car is on its 3rd engine and its from spun bearings. Is the oil pressure supposed to be between those 2 lines that are a little longer than the others? Because mine is a little below the bottom long line at idle and a little above at normal driving. Could this be my oil pump?

Could be your pump, but before screwing with it, consider the following.

The stock oil pressure gauge it GARBAGE. Do yourself a favor and get an aftermarket. Compare the readings on the stock next to the aftermarket, youll see what i mean, they will be totally different.

True, and also you can try a heavier weight oil and see if your pressure starts to rise.

Ok thanks guys. So what oil do you think i should put in there when i get it changed? (keep in mind it will be summer driving of course)

I personally run Mobile 1 synthetic 15W-50, but the weight is all up to you. I think a 10W-40 will suite your needs just fine. Of course, you could go up to 15W-50 as well if you'd like.

However, i do recommend that all TT owners should run at least 15W-50 synthetic oil. I have talked to several TT owners as well to discuss this, and some of them that said that they have never had a bearing problem with their car say they use 15W-50.
