A few race stories (long)

Been a long time since I've posted anything at all, but now that I have some time I thought I would share some races I've gotten since then. I was driving an Infiniti G35 coupe for these which has since changed into a 1979 Camaro z28, but I haven't been able to take that out yet. For a picture of me and the G35 go here, Z28 coming soon when it stops raining.(http://community.webshots.com/photo/...2508757AckIGL). I won't type out races where I absolutely murdered some stock car with a wing, those aren't much fun. All these races are dead heats or deaths for the most part.

Anyway the first race was against a dark red mustang which had a mean roar to it. Wish I could have seen some markings on it, but it didn't seem to have any We found ourselves beside each other on a short piece of highway between groups of traffic. I look over, he drops two gears, I do the same and we both floor it from an 80 roll. We stay equal though 3rd and into 4th, but as I go into 5th i notice him pulling a little but curve favored him and when we shut down at around 220 kmph, my front bumper was holding at his door. I was hoping for a rematch, but we caught traffic so i gave him a thumbs up and took my exit.

This next race was a few days latter, while i was cruising around the Olympic stadium area. After finishing playing around with a nicely done 04 civic, I found what looked like an audi A4 or 6 maybe beside me at a light. Didn't think much of it other then he had no markings and an extremely loud exhaust. When the light went green he floored it and flew off down the street, making it clear to anyone within a mile radius he was turbo'd. At the next light he revs at me, so I rev back and we both launch on green. He got a good half car length right from the start (awd maybe? I wasn't sure), but I kept up desently well and we shut down around 160 when the light ahead went red. I never dropped passed his back doors so I figure I could do a little better on the rematch. This time I get a better launch and stay even with him, but by 3rd he's pulled about 1/2 car on me again by about 145-150. On last light, we go again and this time he misses 2nd i think and drops back a little, but he stays at my door through 3rd, but as i go into 4th I pull a little more and we end around 200 with the audi almost off my rear end. 1/3 against this guy wasn't too bad in my book so i give him thumbs up, but he runs a red and turns off the street.

That same night while driving home after giving up on finding any more action, I find a white G35 coupe sitting at an already red light. When i pull up next to him, looks over and just nods at me, so i nod back and we take off on green. But it looked like i had the parking break on as this guy accelerated away from me like nothing I've ever seen. Left me completely baffled until I heard his blow off from about two blocks away. I hear they make a nice twin turbo kit for G35s and I think that was it.

The last good race I had in this car was actually a slightly modified 06 mustang. My curse is finding unmarked cars, but i think he said gt? but I'm not sure. Had a nice chat with the guy in the a parking lot while waiting for my friend to show up and we desided to have a few runs. Out of 4 goes from a stop we were dead even in 2, I won 1 when he seemed to miss 3rd and he edged me out in one when he got a slightly better launch. When my friend called, pissed I left him waiting for about 20 minutes. I waved to the mustang and thought i was done for the night, but after picking up my friend I found the same mustang getting onto the highway. On the near empty highway, from a 60 roll, I managed to keep up with his rear bumper, which isnt bad considering the extra 230 pounds or so. I need to find lighter friends.

Sadly the G35 is gone, but soon to be replaced by my new camaro, stories and pics soon.

[Edit] Link may not be working at the minute, not sure why, but I'll try and get a pic up somewhere else
