ABS Light?

I went through the car wash the other day and when I came out the other end the ABS light was on,the next time I restarted the car it was out again so I figured it was just water that got in somewhere and dried out again.
But then later while driving the light came on and has stayed on for a couple of days.
This morning while slowing down at low speed the light went out and the ASB started functioning as if the wheels where locking up but the road was dry.
Then after I started out from the stop the light came on again and is now still on however the brakes seam to be working fine I hoping this is something simple like a lose connection.

Re: ABS Light?

Yeah, it could be water intrusion in the connectors or one of the hubs.

Re: ABS Light?

Maybe this will give you some hope Wylie. See link below. One of the wheel sensor electrical connectors being loose or getting disconnected has been known to happen.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Re: ABS Light?

Thanx thats what I was hoping.
Is there any kind of grease that goes inside those connectors when you put them back together?

Although I never use any it is probably safe to use dielectric silicone grease. There should be a seal on the connector. Just check it out to make sure it is good. Also, take a blow drier to the connector when disconnected to help dry it out if you see any moisture. Good luck!
