question to adopted kids

Got a question here, if you were/are an adopted kid, and you were raised in a foster home at birth. Did you try to find your biological parents, or any other brothers and sisters?

I have a friend who is in a very loving family, could not tell he was adopted. We asked him this question, he said he doesn't care to find his parents by blood, and will never try to find them. I've known some other adopted kids who have tried to find their parents and or brothers and sisters. So i'm just curious, if the majority do try to find their biological parents/siblings or not.

If it was me, I'd want to. But then again, I've never been in that situation, so I guess I can't say.

I dated a guy once who was adopted and I went to meet his real mom with him. I've never seen someone so disappointed, he wished he hadn't.

It all would depend on how attached and happy they are with there other family as well as why they were put up for adoption which sometimes you find out whether you want to or not. Me I wouldn't unless it was a damn good reason for me being put up. Drugs Alcohol or anything of the sorts hell no.

yeah, like of course if you were raised by your biological parents you would think that just b/c you've been taught that the closest to you is your blood family. Just wondering coming from the standpoint of adopted kids though.

Why was your ex so disappointed? She asked him for money after he found her or something? That would be hard, imagine finding your biological mom, and you're happy, but then you get the feeling she doesn't care about you and just needs help (asks you for money). What would you do in that situation

i have a few friends in that situation, one (im not sure if her biological parents are alive) doesn't want to, her real father was a heroin addict, im not sure about her mother.

another of my friends, who has had a very rough life, found his parents (he was abandoned age 8) and alway believed they left him because they couldn't look after him, when he discovered they just didn't want him he hated them, and it's been very traumatic for him. now he is adopted into anther friend's family who love him and look after him.

personally i wouldn't. even if i found out today i was adopted i wouldn't try to find my biological parents. a blood relation means nothing to me, it's the people that love you and care for you that are your family.

I have a friend who's biological father was a sperm donor(literally), 'cause her moms husbnd had no balls(literally). she met her biological father, and now wants to shoot him.
