Re: 2002 Z71 Driver side lumbar

Same thing happened to mine.....

The lumbar is a plastic grid on round slides......There is a cable attached to the top center of the plastic grid. When you turn the knob.....it pulls on the cable and pulls down on the plastic grid forcing it to bulge outward against your back.

Most likely the plastic grid broke where the cable attaches. That's what happened to mine.

I bolted a piece of aluminum across the top of the plastic grid, drilled a hole in the center and re-attached the cable.

There is a round metal loop that holds the cable housing....be sure to put the cable thru the loop.

The hardest part of the job is taking the seat cover off......It was a bear to get off.....
