thanks

how the hell is this a 5th gen bird. I think ur confusing urself. 2002 is considered a 4th gen, and the 96 a 3rd gen. Im gonna start a war with this, but there never was, is, and never will be a 5th gen bird.

There is no 5th gen.

Minor changes need to be made to fit a 2002 rear in a 1996 car.
They both suck though.

Not sure what changes need to be made. Maybe someone else will.

1996 = 4th gen
2002 = 4th gen

damn dude calm down on me ok. im new to this and i just bought a trans am. i use to own a grand prix and they warned me the guys in the firebird club were sarcastic assholes...i guess they were right. since ive asked any questions in this message board ive gotten no answers. you obviously know what generations im talking about so why give me hell. all i wanted to know is if the rear end would line up not that im a dumbass but thanks. by the way. i can almost promise you there will be a new bird coming out. theyve made and have plans to relive every car. GTO, Superbee, Challenger, Camaro. just wait there will be i promise

Could you please explain why Bob Lutz (GM headman) has repeatly said the Firebird is dead?
Also, GM retired the Firebird name. That means they killed it permanently.

Let me do some research on the rear end. I will get back to you if I find anything. Gonna have to wait until late this afternoon though.
