question for anyone with rims
Do you guys notice any change in your steering feel compared to when the stocks were on? I notice that it feels more "floaty".

I notice a little more grip too, but, the steering just feels weird whenever i go over broken pavement - for example when i go over rough pavement the steering goes a little "numb" - that's the best description i can give.

probably just the low profile tires. the absorb pretty much none
of the impact of the jacked up roads. stock tires are big beach balls and absorb most of the impact. everybody experiences this with performance rims.:smoka: :bandit: :smoker: :smoker2: |

i lowered it just before putting on new wheels, so don't know it was an entirely new feel. the steering is much more responsive now than stock that's for sure. but its from the suskit and the lower profile tires. I think the front toe is a little out....havent aligned it yet as it tracks straight and the tires are 300AA who cares. hehehe.

I'd recommend getting your car re-aligned, and then see if it's still doing the same thing. I know after I did some suspension work it would track straight, but felt weird... It was just out of alignment. Speaking of which, i need one... DOH!

Wider, lower profile tires, will have greater tendency to follow imperfections in the road. This is common.

I remember when I got my rims it felt weird...but I think as the tires get broken in the response gets better...you will feel alot more of the road due to earlier mentioned lower profile and stiffer sidewalls...and it follows those damn little rain grooves on the freeway...Anyways I like it like this...feels like I'm in more control...

yah, and when you go back to your stock wheels and stock size tires, damn the car feels balanced and *normal* heheehe.
but it looks like...well, STOCK!!! BORING!!!!! so aftermarket is the way to go.

I get the same feel myself, the tyres want to follow any
imperfection in the road, U can feel every little bump and hole in the roads....and this is with stock wheels... though they R 7.5 x 16" with I think 205/45/16 rubber ....
