Completed: Eighties Contest Entry TWR Jaguar XJ-S H.E.
This took quite a long time for me to finish. But - finally - I´ve done it. Actually it was a pretty interesting build, which turned out really nice in my eyes.
The kit itself is a pretty decent build. No real problems except for the decals. The fitment is satisfying. The only problems I had concerned the rear axle-assembly. It was painted with Tamiya Acrylics Spray-Paint Racing Green (TS 9) and Racing White. No clear was applied as - refererred to in the building-thread - the decals look more realistic just being applied onto the paint. Body was rubbed with Tamiya compound (Finish and Fine) and Tamiya Wax was applied to finish it of. As suggested a light wash was applied to the engine. Sadly enough, we have really bad april wheather over here in Germany. No chance up to now to make some decent outdoor-in-the-sun-pics. I might do that later. Now the pictures, feel free to comment, please! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice work, this was a great kit and i built it years ago. I found it to be one of the most enjoyable builds i have ever done.
