Question smelling gas

Could anyone tell me why, other than a fuel leak, I could be smelling gas inside my 94 cavy. It's mostly when I run the heat i smell it only on the interior of the car, but there is also the very faint smell on the outside whenever I cut the car off when I don't run the heat. (I don't know if the A/C affects it or not b/c it doesn't work.) My gas doesn't seem to be affected so I don't think it's a fuel leak. Maybe something in the fuel pump?

Re: smelling gas

Does your engine compartment or anywhere under your hood smell like gas? Is there a gas leak anywhere or somehow u got gas under the hood? Check out fuel injectors and anywhere that could have a bad seal and leak gas. That could be the case and it could just be bringing the gas smell thru the vents when ur heat is on. Hopefully its something simple but I think its a sign you are leaking gas somewhere and its wafting the smell through your vents..
