I am looking to put a cai and 3.4 pulley on my car and was wondering how necesary it is to have a new pcm. in other words if i make those two mods will it have a damageing effect to my car or do i need other supporting mods. my car also has 75000 miles is it still fine to do these things

Re: mod question

You do not need a re-programmed PCM to run a 3.4 SC pulley and a CAI. Just drop down one heat range on the spark plugs. No problem modding with 75K miles.

BTW - DHP dropped the cost to $99 for their PCM. However, you will get better overall power with a new PCM.

if you can put up with granny shifting, then no, you don't need a new pcm. also zzp has lowered their prices to like $70

best thing you can do to see what kind of effect the mods have on your car is scan

I noticed that too for the ZZP v1.0 PCM. It appears that they are doing their own flashing or are they still farming out to DHP.

IMO the true test of any mods is out at the dragstrip.

yea they had a falling out or something, and zzp no longer deals with dhp, they must do it on their own.

Good to know info. Thanks for update. Yeah, I was thinking about getting a Powertuner then I could do it on my own too. It is not that complex. I've programmed $3Million MRI and CAT scanner microprocessor systems in the past. Same concept.

So I see you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Scary.
