Question Does this happen to you?

I have noticed this before and forgot about it. After I changed my lifters out for the 3rd Gen (revision) lifters, I started my car. When I would rev her up slowly, it would be smooth till 2k rpm. So I slowly rev'd up and at 2k rpm and held it there I would feel a little vibration. I would then rev "slowly" past 2k and when it past 2k the little vibration would stop and be smooth as silk.
It will only happen at 2k rpm, not before or after. Is this normal?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks a bunch. Oh and Scottsee? Thanks for the "sheep" info

Crap.. I thought I was still in the Performance Forum. Sorry Josh and Shpyder. Move it you if would not mind please.

John

Re: Does this happen to you?

I've never noticed it but i'm usually drunk when i drive. It's probably because the engine really can't be perfectly balanced at all rpm levels and 2k is probably where the 4g63 is least balanced.

Re: Does this happen to you?

You don't even have 3rd gen lifters, so how would you bloody know =P, but otherwise what he said is pretty good sounding.

If you read his sig it says he has 3rd gen lifters and they are installed, that's how he would know.

My car is still stock as far as the engine goes. I do not know if they replace the balance shaft belts during regular maintenance schedules or not. Either way I am sure that the BSB is still on there because I haven't removed anything yet.
I am doing a lot of reading (research) before I start removing or replacing things + I ask your opinions before I do. She has done this as far as I can remember, I have just forgottoen about it. I just want to be safe.

Re: Does this happen to you?

Maybe it's your motor mounts.... Mine used to do that, then I got some polyurethane ones, the car vibrates, but the engine doesn't. Is it just your car or like the engine as well?
