95 headlight relay - where is it?

Ok I have replaced both headlight motors and they worked great for several weeks and now the left one is grinding whne going down (not up) and I'm being told its the headlight relay.

Any idea where this is on the car?

Thanks

John

The grinding noise isn't from a relay. Its the gear inside the motor being stripped. you should insert a brass gear inside.

thats a good site to do so.

Did the cover come back off? I had my epoxy'd covers come back off, I redid it and then make a metal bracket that uses the 3 mounting bolts to hold the cover in place.

Re: 95 headlight relay - where is it?

I bought 2 rebuilt ones off ebay from ft lauderdale moter lift- a company i have used before.

They have brand new gears inside and did work perfectly. I would like to look into the relay, thats what stops the moter from spinning when already down.

any feelings?

Once i did mine they stayed on. The bracket seems like a good idea. If mine ever comes off, ill probably just screw some small screws into the top.

If it doesn't have the brass gears, its still handy to get them. And if you do have to replace the "relay," its still too late for the gear (since its grinding). It too will need to be changed. But im not sure about the relay. I'll look into it when i have some time.
