No Rear Heat?

I have a 2002 Mercury Villager and there is no rear heat. It only blows cold air from the rear vents. The dealer says that is the way that the vechicle was designed. The rear vents are for A/C only. Can this be true?

Re: No Rear Heat?

Not if it's like the older ones. They'll do thru the rear vents.

Re: No Rear Heat?

We have a 2000 Villager, yep. It HAS NO REAR HEAT. What a bad design. I bought a Odyssey to replace it. By the way, the Villager is FOR SALE!!

Re: No Rear Heat?

When it was redesigned in 1999 it was changed to have no rear heat. Why I don't know because that was something I really liked about my 96. That is the one thing I wish my 99 had.
