nitrous on vr6

anyone try nitrous on their vr6. Nitrous Express says that you can safely run a 120 shot on it and that even a 150 on the vr6 has been done without problems. i would probably stick with an 80 shot but maybe a 100 if i got a need for it. Wish i could go turbo but the cash just aint there. so anyone have some experience with it?

I gotchu dawg. The VR6 is capable of safely handeling up to one 160 HP shot or two 90 HP shots. I dont recommend anything up to 100 in total unless you have a seriously well put together and pro-bolted intake/header/exhaust/cylinder/fuel combo. My good friend has a VR6 and he ran two 90 HP shots with no problems... but his engine is warn in well....

No personally, but I have picked up the basics.
A dry kit to 80, a wet single nozzle kit to 100, and direct-ported wet kit after that. 150 should go fine, One guy told me he ran a 175 kit with no problems, on a stock engine.
I don't think you can use a dry kit in a new VR6 though and definitely not with a variable intake.

Anyway, I think ZEX makes a kit for the VR6, check it out.

yeah i have a NOS single nozzle wet kit. So i figure 80 shot with no problems. and I will see where the Quartermile times lie. Also what all would i need to replace to really build up the motor for nitrous nothing crazy but like a 175 or 200 shot or something. I figure new pistons rods and rings and probably a new fule pump. anything else i should factor in?

Now Im not a big NOs fan, simply because of the damage which could be caused... you know, I have alot of love for my engine... but Ive heard wet is safer than dry... is this true?

Reality: yes
This is because (usually) people spend more time and money ect on a wet kit, with dry kits, people do a simple install. it depends on how well it's controlled too, for the most part, a venom (mad controls) dry kit would probably be safer than a zex (purge and a couple switches) wet kit (do they even make wet kits?)

NOS is the very last mod you make on a car. if you dont have the money for other mods you will still have to refill and nos shouldnt be used every time you race (once you push the botton you cant let go of the gas pedal). Fast and the Furious was a cool movie, dont follow the morons that have melted their engine after watching van deisel in his rx-7.
