Re: Im new and need help

Easiest way: Pay someone. Seriously, its a tough job, took me 11 hours with a friend helping. Drivers front corner basically comes out, strut, frame rail, all that good stuff. Access to the transmission is tight as the quad motors are stuffed in there. The transmission isn't all that heavy, maybe 150 lbs at the most. Technically, its pretty easy, just don't forget to unplug the speed sensor and anything else thats attached to the transmission. Good luck.

Re: Im new and need help

Make sure you have all the tools you will need to do the job before you start it. You will need an engine support, when you drop the torque strut the motor and trans will drop toward the driver's side, this can damage the crank pulley, timing cover, and motor mount on the passenger side. Don't use a jack on the oil pan, its aluminum and will break easily.
