What sensor is this? (Pic)

Borrowed this pic from the great write up by Cailen....Thanks. I'm looking for the name of the sensor on the left that the pink arrow is pointing to. Its at the back of the block on the intake rail. The damn thing snapped off on me. Thanks.

Welcome aboard John , Yep it would be your oil pressure sending unit . hope it broke off high enough to get it out of the block without drilling and tapping. Rob

Re: What sensor is this? (Pic)

Thanks guys. Thats what I thought it was, just wanted to confirm. Actually the plastic body of the sensor itself snapped. The plastic was probably brittle from the 100K miles worth of heat on it. Already removed it from the fitting attached to the block. Pretty simple, but still wish it hadn't broke.

A good oil pressure switch sockets always helps when changing it.

Re: What sensor is this? (Pic)

Should be just a quick swap. $22 at autozone if anyone was wondering. Maybe it'll help with the pressure gauge bouncing around like it did before.

This thing better run pretty damn good when its done! In addition to the damn blown intake gasket and oil sending unit, its gettin a full tune up, fuel filter, oil change, new coolant, t-stat and I just had the fuel pump replaced. This better be it for a while.
