Good QUIET perfomance muffler?

Can anyone recommend a low key muffler that will provide good performance but maintain a reasonably quiet demeanor? Low cost is good. Dual exhaust tips are preferred, and nothing with tips larger than maybe 2-2.5' diameter. I don't need a fancy chrome muffler.

You want a Remus muffler. If you want dual tips you'll have to get a universal and have a shop install it for you. But, they are very quiet and sound wonderful.

If anyone has a pic of a Remus muffler or the Remus rear 1/3 on a P10 please post a pic. I am looking to buy, but would like to see how it looks on the car 1st.

Nevermind, I got it. I was hoping it would be a little more "ovally" though. Oh well.

There was one posted by Glen a month ago. Look back for a muffler thread.

Greddy exhaust is very quiet, full piping...why settle for just the rear section when you can get the whole thing???

Gotta disagree here. I've driven cars with both. The GReddy is quite a bit louder. I personally wouldn't live with the GReddy on my P10. I have one on my B13 though, but that car is a little more "raw" than my P10.

Considering that for a non-turbo car, the exhaust makes almost no power, I wouldn't put up with the noise. Just my personal choice.

I think it comes down to how quiet do you want? The Remus is only slightly louder than stock and the tone is low and wonderful. The GReddy is definitely more instrusive, but some people want more noise.

About the Greddy "level"...

The P10 exhaust is not the same model as the P11 Greddy..

For the P11 its the Evo exhaust which is a lot quieter than the MX exhaust for the P10's..

The Evo model offers a lot more sound suppression than the MX

Hey, you mean the world doesn't revolve around P10s???

Damned anti-social misfits.

Yep. But, y'all are going to have to be patient. I'll try to get some teaser photos up before too long. You'll probably have to wait a couple of months though for the detailed write-up with detailed photos.

It'll be worth it. I promise.
