Engine warning light

Has anyone here had the engine warning light display light up?

It has occured to me recently but it was only for a while after a brief medium to hard driving (under very hot conditions) and when I slowed the revs, the light came off after a a few minutes.

Is something wrong? Or is it just the display problem?

Hi Eric

Can you give me details **here** or email me what Diablo youre running ..cause the engine management systems vary greatly between the models and years...

I had this problem on my 2WD often..and 99% of the time its the sensor that isnt working properly...and gives you a false indication...those lights also cover so many aspects of the car...it doesnt really help you much...except to worry the life out of you....I rely on my ears..and 6 th sense that I know when its running well and badly instintively (I am sure you know what I mean)

I also had a theory that when your local dealer was getting short of work....they could send out a signal to activate the lights...and hence expect to see you there shortly....LMAO !!

Dear Jabba
My car is a 1995 2WD Diablo.
Having heard what you said it could very well be faulty lights.
Cause the engine seemed to be running really smooth. I never go past the red line.
The engine waring light came on 2 times since I have had the car.
On one occasion I stoped and re-started the engine and it disappeared.
On the second occasion I simply slowed down and ran a higher gear to get the revs down and it disappeared.
My mechanic tells me that the hot and humid climate of Hong Kong does not help with the electronics and can cause faulty signals.
I really hope this is problem only.

Thank you for your reply.
