assembling drum brakes

there's the picture of what the setup looks like now, those are the only pieces I have to use on the passenger rear drum brake of an '87 Iroc-Z. Could anyone direct which pieces go where because I'm lost.

Re: assembling drum brakes

I have come to the conclusion that it looks nothing like that picture, because I have seen the how to put together the reverse side and it seems too similar to that. Then again, the parking brake is ALSO on the wrong side in the picture..beats me how that happened.

Actually now I realize that the backing plate looks the same on both side, and the parking brake comes from the right side. The big problem here is that the PARTS aren't shaped the same so I still have no idea how to assemble the pass. side.

Re: assembling drum brakes

Alright listen up, this is how you assemble the passenger side, the part that holds the parking brake cable goes BEHIND the left shoes, as does the arm that holds the springs goes on TOP of the left shoe. That's what was confusing me for the longest time.
