Need some Help and Info on Mustang V6

Hey. I am interested in buying the v6 mustang 1999-2004 body style. I would like a GT but me being 18, insurance and gas would be too much. Anyways, I have a few question on the v6 and some questiond for the future, when I decide to do basic mods...

1. What is the base horspower/torgue of a v6?
2. When it comes time to dual out, what is better x-pipe or h-pipe?
3. Also I have read that, dualling out a v6 is bad due to the pulses of exhaust coming out of the engine...is this true?
4. After basic mods, such as exhaust, intake, and headers, how much HP will the v6 push out, roughly?
5. Last question, lol, This Diablo chip that I see alot of mustang people have...what exactly is it? And how much does it up the HP? Also, how much does that cost?

Thanks alot.....I feel like a Newbie...lol

Re: Need some Help and Info on Mustang V6

1. 193 hp/225 tq
2. None, the V6 has a even firing engine so it does not benefit from cross overs( X and H pipes), people that put them on V6's do it just for sound.
3. No, its not true.
4. With full bolt on's and a flasher, roughly 240 hp.
5. Their flashers, you will gain roughly 13rwhp with a xcal2(they work better and are a little cheaper then predators) http://www.mustangtuning.com/sct-xcalibrator-2.html There is a chart in the middle of the page that shows some things you can do with them.

What is the sound difference between the X-pipe versus the H-pipe?

Thanks

X pipes give a loud raspy sound and H pipes give a quieter deeper sound.

well neato is right, but there is a very slight difference in power if you upgrade with a x pipe over upgrading the y pipe. the pulses come out even so a dualy is not extremely important, but it still doesnt hurt and will always be very slightly better.

I was talking about just running strait pipes, not Y pipe back exhaust.
