Has anyone here ever built a Poacher?

I've seen their site, and their stuff. They look really cool to do, with like 2000 parts and all, but I can't afford to try! Has anyone here ever made one?

Hi Sob,
I built two of the Pocher kits 22 years ago. The 1907 Fiat Grand Prix Racer and the 1932 Alpha Romeo Spider Touring Gran Sport. They were really nice. Over time they have gotten really screwed up though. Some of my nephews have broken parts off and the leather has gotten stained on the seats of one of them. There were 142 individual parts in each of the 6 (2-spares) wire wheels on the Alpha. Lots of tiny nuts and bolts. They take a long time and a lot of patience to assemble so you really get your money's worth. I am going to rework mine and put them in a display case. (They have been in a box in the garage for 10-years.):flash:

mp3z24: do a check for the poacher kits on ebay, as they come up quite often, damned expensive though.
