4L60e transmission slipping

Anyone have a problem with the upshift on 2WD Colorado's? When I get on the pedal like when passing the transmission seems to hesitate when upshifting, sort of like a manual clutch if you don't take you foot all the way off. Feels kind of rough. No engine light or other problems noted. Tranny fluid is at the correct level. Thanks!.

Might be the way your trans shifts. GM programs them to shift so people don't complain about harsh shifting. You can get a Jet Powr-servo for like 60$+shipping and it'll firm up those shifts for ya.

Downshifts are great. I notice it only on upshifts from 2-3. Feels like rubbing two cinder blocks together. It doesn't happen when going to overdrive. I don't believe it does so because I am flooring it and the trans won't go into overdrive if I have the pedal 2/3 of the way down when passing. I only notice it when accelerating. The shifting does seem pretty soft for a truck. I might have to go into the dealer and get the PCM programed a different schedule.

Unless there is a problem the dealer won't do anything for you. The powrservo will firm up all of those shifts.

I would call this a problem. It's grinding something in there. Thanks.
