Colorado/Canyon CD Player Problem

Does anyone have a problem when turning off the truck. The CD player doesn't turn off immediately. It turns on and then off a few times really quick before completely turning off. Kind of annoying. Another problem is that the CD player also doesn't read the CD's sometimes when starting up the truck. It says "READING"

Re: Colorado/Canyon CD Player Problem

You have a RAP(retained accessory power) that keeps some things functional after you turn off the key until you open the door. As for the cdplayer not reading cds, might be a dealership trip for ya.

I took out the CD player and cleaned a few things and then reseated the connector on the back a few times. Seems to be working fine so far.

I did have the same problem and the dealer had to replace the RAP module and radio to fix it.

My 06 did the same thing "reading", the dealer replaced it under warranty, never had a problem since.
