Thumbs up Silent Hill---The motion Picture

Anyone get a chance to see this yet?
Well I went and seen this movie last night.

I must say, it was pretty goddamn errie!

It doesnt matter if you hav seen the Playstaion games or not,
this flick will f&*$#ing freak your ass right out!
It is rated R, and 80% of the people in the theater were kids under 16.

The story stayed true to the Games, I was surprised and disapointed at the same time.

Mainly because the horror scences, like the demons and monsters they were the best(looked just like the games, surprised), the type that make your skin crawl, but I didnt think thier were enough battle scences, or maybe just not showing enough of the evil monsters, well till the ending anyway.
Maybe its just me...

If you are a game fan, or horror fan, go see this movie..... TODAY!
It is 2hrs long, but it flys right by.

And I'll try not to give any spoilers for those of you who might go and see it

I played the first Silent Hill. Previews looked pretty promising though. I hope to see it by next weekend.

Re: Silent Hill---The motion Picture

It isn't really a "constant scare" horror flick, there is alot of down time between the freaky crap. Thing is that you never really see those parts coming, so you're psyching yourself out expecting something to jump out you.

That and the plot was mostly advanced in only a few scenes, where they take a few minutes and get you up on whats going on. Those types of scenes tend to suck but they were pretty well done, didn't seem like everything was being spoon fed to the audience.

Re: Silent Hill---The motion Picture

I saw it last Friday too. I was impressed. I really liked it, some of the people that I saw it didn't like it though. Never played the game but a buddy of mine that I saw it with stated that it stayed farily consistant with the game. On a side note, whats up with horror flicks taking placing in West Virginia (Silent Hill, Wrong Turn) I mean I am from WV and I am only mildly sicotic. Oh well. I highly recommend this movie to any and everyone.

Re: Silent Hill---The motion Picture

Just came from the theatre after seeing it.. gotta say, man im disappointed..

The movie was good in all, I liked that it just hurried up and got your ass into Silent Hill.. the monsters look GREAT.. special effects are really awesome too. My only complaint and what really ruined the movie for me was the ending.. that just flat out sucked

Re: Silent Hill---The motion Picture

i saw it right away when it came out. i didn't know it was a video game until someone told me either. it was also the first scary movie i have ever watched. it was my birthday gift from some of my friends, and i HATE scary movies, they're sweethearts aren't they. i could watch most of it, some of it, i can admit, i buried my face in the shoulder of the guy next to me cuz i'm a girl and i should be able to do that without being made fun of. overall tho, i really liked it. the plot was great

Re: Silent Hill---The motion Picture

Compared to the game it was lame !

I liked the alternate universe the best, the nurses were just like the game. Pyramid head was persistant as always.

I thought the way it ended thier could be a part two. Figured her husband would go to Silent Hill to find her and his daughter, more like the first game, it would probley be a bit more graphic and better in general.
Everyone has sequels these days
