chime and lights wont go off

ok guys heres one for you i took out my insterment cluster today and add a bezel from speedhut.com when i put it all back together now i have no after market stereo and the ldome lights wont go out and the chime wont stop unless i unplug it any bright ideas on what this could be or what i might have done to it all the help i can get is alot better than what i have been up too

ow yea the part i forgot in my frustration is its a 1994 grand am gt with sport gadges and 3.1 efi some one please help me

i'd say the cluster is hooked up wrong or its not for the year of car you hav. Make sure all the plugins are in the right spot and fully connected.

You might try hooking the old on up to see if its doing it too... Good Luck!

no its just a bezel that goes in front of the gadges but behind the glass used the same old cluster didnt change that out

appearently something did change, or those little gremlins you spoke of wouldnt be happening.

You had to 'jimmy' with something inside the dash.

Way back under the dash in the my 93 GAGT, my chime unit itself had a a blown capacitor, the thing rang for days and blew the stereo also. We just swapped out the chime unit problem solved. Although we could have just replaced the Cap if i had bothered to get its value.

Follow the trace if you have access to the wiring diagram

cad i think your right on im going to head for the junk yard and try that to see what happens i have a junk yard with alot of ga's in them i think the guy likes them or some thing theres like 30 of them there last time i went it was like a lil kid on a easter egg hunt it was wild lol thanks guys have a good day
