Electrical Help For 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo LS
Help I have a 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo LS. I have 2 electrical issues I need resolved in order to register it. 1. My hazards are not working. The connection on the fuse panel is gutted so the flasher will not plug into it. Anyone know how to fix that issued. 2. My backup lights will not stay on unless you wiggle the gear lever. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Electrical Help For 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo LS
The back up lights are controlled through the neutral safety switch, so if the trans linkage is loose or the switch is out of adjustment, the lights will not work properly. As far as the gutted fuse box, I couldn't even start to help you there, since there's no way to know how bad they hacked it.
