corona rertorals...

hey pplz,

Being an owner of an '83 cs corona it has lately come to my attention that they seem to be a hot item on the restoral scene at the moment... throughout qeueensland i've yet NOT to see one in mint condition when i travel in my own 2L(bored) beast ... i'm just wondering is anyone other than myself willing to show off their peice of 'toyota history'

plz post any pictures you have (of any late model corona)... they would be much appreciated, once i get my digital camera i'll give you a look at my 'sweet ride' (you could call it that )

hey dude
i live in nsw, and i have never seen a corona done up or in mint condition. i would love to see one. i would also love to have the money to do the same to mine. i will post some pictures of my 86 corona when i get hold of a digital camera. im looking forward to seeing pictures of your beast. by the way how much did it cost to bore your corona, and do you have any specs of your car or any other coronas.

thanks

hey... good to meet a fellow corona owner

about the car specs for the corona i havent been able to find even pictures on the internet, as for the car specs the only thing i know is they came out originally with about 50-60 kilwatts (being a later model your might have more)... with the bore job it gained about 10-15 kilwatts... as for the cost i really i'm pretty sure it wasnt more than $250 (mine was done when the engine was out of the car coz it was getting reconditioned)

i'm looking to get some extractors and maybe a small turbo in the near future, also a new paint job, maybe some gauges for the dash...

at the monent its pretty standard, here are my specs

'83 toyota corona
-shift kit
-original 1.8L (starfire) bored (2L)
-reco'd engine
-pre-heat valve train components

not much but its on its way... i nicknamed it the beast... well my mates did

Talking hey dude

hey dude,
i was chattin to a guy i work with the other day, n he told me about his mate that does engine conversions. he's gonna find out if a 1jz motor out of a twin turbo soarer will fit in my corona. i looked it up on the net and it sed that it would be possible. the price i'll have to pay will be around 5000-6000, but when fished it will run 13-14 seconds quarter mile. the specs on my corona that i hav found are, that the motor is 87 kilowatt.
my email is [email protected]
if you want to contact me you can.
i'll let you know how it goes.
