92 ranger fuel gauge
I have a 92 Ford Ranger 3.0L and i recently replaced the cold start valve and got a CB antenna and hooked it up. But the problem is i Filled my tank on sunday and then monday i mounted and wired my CB. Then a few days after that i noticed that the fuel gauge quit working and it always stays on E. And i looked around and they said the sensor in the tank. But i was wandering if there are any wires under the dash i could have bumped. Ohh and all the other instruments in the panel work it is just the Fuel Gauge!!
Thanks for the Help Alex |

Re: 92 ranger fuel gauge
did you by chance blow a fuse while wiring up CB? or try changing the power source for CB.

Re: 92 ranger fuel gauge
I checked all the fuses and they are all good and i did rewire the CB. so its not even near the lines up around the fuel gauge. I have a question also, can the sensor in the tank just go out like that and quit working??
Thanks |

Re: 92 ranger fuel gauge
ya. you could have shorted it out trying to hook up CB. thats all i can think of. they can just stop working but in your case i think it was related to what you were doing.
