are u sure its not vaccuum? on mine if i wre to hit the bakes hard the car almost wants to kill cuz of the vaccuum. I know they made some cheezy concauction for the brakes kinda like a "trial n'error "for ABS but obviously didn't work, and i believe there was a recall on them. If it is vaccuum, check the brake booster on the firewall and make sure the the bigger hose is hooked up and/or not leaking vaccuum. Sorry if this doesn't help, but i hope it does

Re: myelectric brake system malfunction?!!help

For some reason your powermaster brake system is not producing enough boost pressure and not turning off the red lamp. You fist should determine if your pump/motor is running so that can determine if you have a electrical or hydraulic problem. If the pump is runnig all the time see if the pump will produde 600psi at the pump outlet (it should). If pump does not run check the switch/motor for problems. Be careful and always deplete the pressure before opening the hydralic components.
