Subaru Legacy 'Elonex'

I dug out my old Subaru Legacy kit today (Rothmans Livery) and spent the afternoon playing around with Adobe Illustrator CS2 to see if it would be possible to produce the Elonex sponsored car that the late Richard Burns drove around 1992/1993,both on the British Open Championship and on the '93 RAC Rally of Gt Britain.Anyway I have made most of the main markings which I printed on paper to test the sizes then stuck on the model with blue tack to see what it would look like.Hear are the results:

I am still undecided.I may model the Rac version from 93 and use the kit wheels ,or swop the wheels for some 5 spoke Speedlines (Tarmac) and model the Manx International car.
I have managed to track down another Legacy kit and when this arrives I will use it to hopefully model the Elonex version as a tribute to Richard Burns.

Of to a great start, will be a great model when done, but should the red squares not have a shadow on one or possibly two sides?

Yes,they should have a grey shadow similar to the Elonex logo's.These ones were just a quick red square to test the look on the model printed on ordinary paper. When I do the squares for real on the decal paper I will add the grey shadow to the sides,so they are correct.

Spot on, can't wait to see the finished product. Manx version would be nice I think, but be careful of the ride height on the kit.
