shock mounts
Hello again, need your help./
On my 98 LaSabre, I need new shock mounts in the front. What type do you recommend? How much are they? I am not looking to spend money more than the regular cost but would like to have same comfort ride… Thanks |

Re: shock mounts
Monroe offers both, the strut mount and the Reflex strut. They work very well on the Buick. Reflex struts average about 70 bucks each and the strut mount assembly, about 40-50 bucks each. You can have Monroe Sensa Trac struts installed at Pep Boys or Sears & Roebuck, or you can purchase them at the following parts supply stores and have your trusted front-end mechanic install them. (Recommended) You would need to have the car aligned anyway!

Re: shock mounts
Struts do the work for ride control and absorbing road shock. The mounts are just the top bearing support and bearing assembly. Some people use their old mounts and just install a new bearing. It really depends on the condition of the existing parts. I installed both the strut, and mount assembly.
about struts and how they work
