Can I fix this?

Opened the box and this is the body. I was told to put the part in boiling water to soften things up. That makes me nervous. If it makes it soft I could also cause more damage right?

if the windows are in one part, use that to give the shape. Use it as a guide.

Heat the body, use the window in and hold it there for few minutes.

I thought of that and it sounds the easiest. What's the best way to heat the body?

You should be nervous. Styrene can be ruined at less than boiling temperatures. DO NOT PUT IT IN BOILING WATER! I know, I've ruined a few parts in the process. Use hot water, but not boiling.

Heat the water slowly in a deep enough container and dunk the body as it heats up. Eventually you may end up at a water temperature that does the trick. With styrene (unlike resin) you never know if it's going to work or not. A couple of degrees difference can mean no improvement and disaster. When styrene itself gets too soft from heat it shrinks, the body won't be just warped at that point but it will be ruined. Tread carefully w/hot water. It may work, coupled with careful bending of the body in the opposite direction of the warp, and a dunk in cold water to set the repair. It's worth trying, I can usually fix problems if they aren't too severe, but that type of warp is far easier to fix with resin as resin will soften but not shrink up when warmed. Also see if inserting the glass w/a bit of pressure also helps to square it up. You may get part of the warp out of the body and the rest can be satisfactorily removed by simply installing and gluing the window unit in place.

when he gets the model soft enough to stretch and repair, will there be enough plastic to be stretched? When you stretch something, it gets thin. ive never worked with epoxy before but could cutting the side of the roof thats damaged from the back door and then adding something like epoxy to extend the rear door arm (lets call it that) also do the trick?

I have a similar question of my own regarding bending plastic. When lowering a car you would cut the shocks shorter and bend the Arm's (or T-Arm's) upward. How do you bend them? I tried playing with a leftover piece of plastic over the stove heat but it melted and deformed the plastic in like 2 seconds. I checked and posted this question in the appropriate threads but got no responce and ive been putting my Integra's aside for the past year because i plan to lower them. How do you bend the Arm's so the then shorter shocks fit?
