1997 Lumi Fuel Pump.... Figures
Started her this morning...drove about 10 minutes and "POOF" she sputtered and then died!!! plenty-o-cranking power but no catch... let her sit for 10 minutes.... cranked over and started...YAY...uhhh nope died...did notice a whiny noise!!! Well It was the Pump...ShOT!!! 2 Hrs and 400.00 later it is fixed thank god but this one I didnt wanna mess with... Gas makes my nose itch!!! just wanted ta vent on this... nothing else!!!

consider yourself lucky. when mine went on my '97 - it was an $800 repair.
the part alone was like $600 because the "sending unit" (or something) was part of the fuel pump, and thats what made it so exspensive. anyway - i have a lifetime warranty on this pump - but i sure hope it dont fail again. |
