Can anyone tell me how to get to the spark plugs?

Hey there...got a 2002 PT, need to change spark plugs, could anyone give me a description on how to get to them, I can see them but there is that big black air thingy over them with the what 4 bolts? etc...anyway any help and I can hopefully take it from there...thanks a bunch...

the big black thingy is the upper plenum... just unbolt it... it splits into top and bottom. The plugs are right there.

Don't let the intake plenum removal scare you. It's easy. 5 bolts on the front (where it attaches to the lower half of the manifold) and 3 or 4 bolts attach the other end to the throttle body. It seals at both ends with fat rubber O-rings that are re-useable, so you don't need to worry about gaskets or anything. Just be carefull not to drop any of the bolts.

I also recommend replacing the plug wires as well. The factory wires are thin and won't last long. Magnecor makes some great silicone wires. Also, I recommend installing Platinum plugs (the factory plugs are NOT platinum). They will last nearly 100k miles, and with quality silicone wires, you won't have to worry about them again for a long long time.
