Auto transmissions will stick in park if parked on a hill, my 01 SE does. If it will not go in after wrestling match then it could be brake lockout solenoid sticking or not working. (remove console and simply disconnect it to test, they attach right to shifter. Or see if car running, brake on, it actually releases) Has she spilled coffee/big gulp from cup holder onto shift console? This toasted a shift cable on me once and it got harder and harder until cable snapped.
PS Happily married but would look at a pic of her w/ her I30 if u had one |
