Exclamation Fuel from the exhaust

About a week ago I blew the head gasket in my 96 2.2L cav. Just finished putting it all back together today, but it keeps flooding the cylinders with fuel (mostly #3). I have tried unplugging the injectors and still the fuel keeps coming out! Any ideas?

Lightbulb Re: Fuel from the exhaust

i sort of have the same problem...
could be a number of issues.

1. are you sure you pulled the right injectors?
2. map sensor defective (reading sub zero temp so it's flooding the cylinders)
3. failing fuel pump (if the pressure is too low, the injectors will go wide open to try to keep it running)
4. fuel pressure regulator (if in the event that it is broke, then your fuel pump is going for broke pumping all the psi to the injectors)

i had mine towed to a dealership and im waiting to see what the deal is. i just got tired of shooting from the hip. hope this helps but ill give you the up on what happened to mine when i find out what it was..
