How big can I go for a Cam for a 1999 Blazer

I have to pull the 4.3 engine on my 99 Blazer; it has 110,000 miles, been very well taken care of, and suddenly spun a bearing. I was wondering if there is anything else I need to do while the engine is out? Also I want to put a bigger cam in, how big can I go and keep the factory stall and torque converter? Want to keep the wife happy! lol
